IBW #9 – Road to Resurgence
Gauntlet for Gold was a huge success, and we witnessed many surprises, debuts and even a new champion! The first of two Gauntlet for Gold matches showed Groudon be the surprise last entrant, where he eliminated Old Black Ref, White Goodman and Seth to earn himself a championship opportunity. Our second Gauntlet, we saw a hard fought battle between the final two survivors – Jock Miller and Armageddon. But in the end, the streak continued, as Armageddon won with five eliminations under his belt, being the most dominant Gauntlet for Gold participant so far. We also witnessed Sterling Pierce shockingly screw over Blackout rather than the man he despises, Richie Stevens. Let’s not forget the debut of one of the newest signings to IBW – Pastor Lincoln! He was revealed as DEUS’ mystery opponent, and the two put on a phenomenal match – but it was ruined as Dr. Steel and The Toy Soldiers attacked both men, ending it in a no conest! We witnessed all of this, and much, much more! Now we’re back to our regular shows as we look forward to IBW’s third pay-per-view: Resurgence. It’ll certainly be interesting to see another show under Lucius Pierce’s management!

Singles Match
Cole Scorpio vs. Super Cena
At Gauntlet for Gold, Cole Scorpio came out to address the IBW fans – stating that he would tear his way through the entire roster and win every championship in the company just to spite Sterling Pierce. It didn’t take long before Jock Miller interrupted and claimed that he was the official IBW “welcoming committee” before hitting his finishing move on Cole, sending a message to him. Now, Cole is finally making his in-ring debut against a man who made his return at Gauntlet for Gold – Super Cena, whom of which was thought to actually have been dead. But it seems he’s risen above hate and death – making his return to the IBW ring. He wasn’t exactly impressive in the match at the pay-per-view, as he didn’t even manage to last a minute before being eliminated by Pastor Lincoln. Cole has a lot to prove in his debut after being embarrassed by The Jock. But this is Super Cena’s chance to start off fresh, so he could be fighting harder than ever to overcome the odds!

Armageddon’s Open Trial Challenge
It’s that time again, Armageddon making a challenge to anyone who wants to step up and face the metal messiah. After his show-stealing performance at Gauntlet for Gold, it probably wouldn’t be wise for anyone to take him on, as he decimated Wayne K. Hayes in a hardcore match where Lucius Pierce had lifted the time limit, giving Armageddon more freedom to torture the MMA star. He then went on to win the second Gauntlet for Gold match and get himself a world championship opportunity whenever he pleases. Who will step up to this monster? Will anyone?

Six-Man Battle Royal
Derrick Brizen vs. Claus vs. Brown Beetle vs. Dieter Haus vs. Bloodwater vs. Doc Noxious
In the opening contest of Gauntlet for Gold, Dieter Haus and Herschel Hiam Hebrewberg fought with everything they had – that was until Herschel got the upperhand, throwing an explosion water bottle at Haus, abstracting his vision before rolling him up with a schoolboy to get the win, becoming the second ever Global champion. Later in the show, we’ll see Herschel making his first defense – and whoever comes out on top will defend against one of these six men at Resurgence. Brizen impressed everyone in the Gauntlet for Gold match when he lasted longer than anyone else in the match, lasting over fifteen minutes. Brown Beetle wasn’t so lucky, as he only managed to last twenty seconds, but he has a lot of fighting spirit, so he might have a real shot. Haus being the former champion will mean he will want this the most out of the men, to get his hands on Herschel and to try to get his title back. Claus has been under the radar for quite some time now, and is looking to get back on track; he’s easily the dark horse of this match. As for Bloodwater, he defeated Marty Jannetty at Gauntlet for Gold in a broomstick only match…all six of these men are a threat to Herschel, which of them will get the chance?

3-on-2 Handicap Match
Dr. Steel, Bert Beeasley and Social Justice Blogger vs. DEUS & Pastor Lincoln
In our world championship bout at Gauntlet for Gold, we witnessed a historic battle between two of the toughest superstars in the Armbar Error Society. The IBW World Champion went up against the newest signee to the company – Pastor Lincoln. Back and forth they went, and it didn’t seem like either one had any advantage, it could have went either way…but before we could find out who the better man of the two was, Dr. Steel and The Toy Soldiers attacked both men, ending the match in a no contest. The possibility of a rematch is always there, but with Toy Soldiers around, it probably wouldn’t be wise to try again only to have it end with the same result. Whatever the reasoning behind the attack, The Time Hero and The Modern Marvel have the opportunity for revenge as they team up against the dominant stable. Strength may be in numbers in this one, but DEUS and Pastor are two of the toughest guys in the business today! This one could go either way.

Here’s something you never thought you would see…the owner of Globo-Gym, White Goodman, is getting a championship match! We saw Herschel Hiam Hebrewberg get the win over Dieter Haus off of a schoolboy pin, getting himself his first championship in AES – he will be making his defense a mere one show later against the man who eliminated him from the Gauntlet for Gold to earn the chance. White showed a very surprising dominant display in the Gauntlet for Gold where he eliminated four people and made it to the final three survivors before being eliminated by Groudon. If Groudon wasn’t in the match, things may very well have went very differently…however, due to his performance, White is getting the opportunity of a lifetime. He almost never gets wins in IBW, but this one win could be the only thing he needs…will he overcome the odds?

TBA Hardcore Stipulation
Seth vs. Groudon
A feud that’s been far too long in the making, these two met once again when Groudon made his official IBW debut by winning the first Gauntlet for Gold match. Seth came so close to achieving a huge dream, only to have it crushed by this monster – now he has the chance for revenge as he steps into the ring one-on-one with him. No surprises, no twists and no turns – just a straight-up match. Groudon is a huge threat to the IBW roster, as well as DEUS’ championship reign – he’s certainly not one to overlook. Seth, however, has been very impressive and is on his way to becoming a big star in IBW…whichever of these two manages to get the win, the match itself will likely be brutality at its finest.
