IBW #13 – ROAD TO ABSOLUTE DELIRIUM BEGINS
Possibly the best show in the history of IBW has come to an end, Resurgence was a huge success and changed the company in a variety of ways. We have not only crowned our first tag team champions in the Toy Soldiers, not only crowned a new 24/7 champion…but the most important championship of them all, the IBW World Championship changed hands after almost a year-long reign! With plenty of shenanigans, interferences, and a very underhanded win…Dr. Steel has managed to capture the big one. As the leader of the Toy Soldiers, our world champion is near untouchable, making him a very dangerous threat to anyone looking to get a shot at the gold. The gold changing hands wasn’t the only thing that we saw, we already know who Dr. Steel’s first challenger will be, Jock Miller got the win over Cole Scorpio to grant himself a spot in the main event of Absolute Delirium against the world champion. Whether or not Steel holds the gold until that event remains to be seen. Richie Stevens also suffered defeat at the hands of his rival Blackout, in which he went on to snap and attack Seth almost immediately after. Maybe he’ll explain his actions in this episode, maybe not, just another thing we’ll have to wait to find out. Blackout and Seth will be competing against each other in our main event, Gavin Gamble makes his in-ring IBW debut against the #1 Contender for the World Championship and our former world champion DEUS takes on one of his Resurgence challengers, Pastor Lincoln, as they both look to get back on their feet after the Resurgence shenanigans. MATCH ONE
Singles Match
Devin Decker vs. Drone Beckett
At Resurgence, Drone Beckett became one of the first ever tag team champions in IBW. One fifth of the tag team champions. That’s right, he and Doc Noxious got the win, but the championships are being held under the freebird rule as per request of Dr. Steel, who wants to see all of his Toy Soldiers defend the gold. As for Devin Decker, he wrestled in the over-the-top-rope battle royal for the Global Championship #1 Contendership, but was eliminated like many others. Now he has the chance to prove himself a little bit as he takes on one of the champions in IBW, which is a pretty big opportunity. Drone Beckett will obviously be looking to continue this momentum he has never seemed to have lost since aligning himself with the IBW World Champion, Dr. Steel. Which of the two will prove to be a bigger rising star?

MATCH TWO
Tag Team Match
Oseiko & Marty Jannetty vs. Malik & Groudon
On September 8th, Oseiko lost after a blindsided attack from Ryan Davis, but still gave a valiant effort as she fought hard, but in the end, it just wasn’t enough for her, and she suffered defeat at the hands of the “Rookie Gone Rogue”. Her tag team partner, Marty Jannetty, was the first entrant in the Global Championship #1 contendership match; he was one of the many to be eliminated, as was one of his opponents, the newcomer to IBW, Malik. All four of these people suffered defeat, as Groudon’s was against “The Metal Messiah” Armageddon after Seth’s music hit, distracting the last WFL World Champion, giving Armageddon the opportunity to strike. Both of these teams lost quite a bit of momentum at Resurgence, but now they have the chance to get it all back as they look to prove who can work better as a tag team.

Triple Threat Match
Bloodwater vs. Aira vs. Le Gentleman Masque
Aira and Le Gentleman Masque were two more of the people to get eliminated in the over-the-top-rope match at Resurgence, also making their debuts at the event. Bloodwater was also in the match, but he’s much more established than his two opponents – which is why they have a great chance to get a win over an IBW original. Gentleman absolutely refuses to lay a hand on a woman in the ring, which could make this a very interesting situation, as Aira, one of his two opponents just happens to be female. Bloodwater on the other hand will take no issue in attacking anyone, male, female, adult or child…if it furthers his career, he’ll do it. Will Gentleman’s refusal to attack women cost him the match? Or will he show to be an opportunist and get the win over Bloodwater? Who will walk out of this one with the win?

Singles Match
DEUS vs. Pastor Lincoln
The two men who didn’t manage to get the win in the main event of Resurgence. After almost a year of being champion, DEUS was the first eliminated in the match, losing his championship after such an impressive reign. Pastor however looked to have had the win as he absolutely dominated Dr. Steel until the interference from Drone Beckett cost him the match and the championship. Both of these men will do whatever it takes to prove that they deserved the win at Resurgence, and that’s why Lucius has gave them that opportunity as they go head-to-head. Both of these men are former world champions, but have never managed to complete a one-on-one contest, as their match at Gauntlet for Gold was interrupted by the Toy Soldiers. Whoever wins this one will prove who would have left the second pay-per-view in IBW with the gold, so that’s what makes this very important to both men.

Six-Man Tag Match
Brown Beetle, Peacekeeper & Super Cena vs. White Goodman, Doc Noxious & Social Justice Blogger
Behold! The first ever normal six-man tag team match in the history of Insanely Brilliant Wrestling, which of course involves The Toy Soldiers, the ones holding the IBW Tag Team Championships. Their opponents are a heroic trio, Brown Beetle being the most established superhero in IBW looks to lead his posse of newcomer Peacekeeper and the longest reigning former 24/7 champion in IBW history, Super Cena to the win. The Toy Soldiers have shown to be the absolute most dominant unit in IBW, but without Steel or Beckett on the team for this match, they might have a bigger challenge ahead of them than usual. White Goodman has proven to be the weakest link of the stable, and has the most losses in IBW to date with a record twelve losses. This is IBW’s perfect chance to fight back and put a dent in the powerful unit, which team will come out on top?

Jock Miller vs. Gavin Gamble
At Resurgence, one of the most shocking debuts took place – Gavin Gamble announced that he had signed a lucrative and pricey contract which comes to an end at Absolute Delirium, and already got himself an opponent for the event…the also debuting Sacha Desmarais, accompanied by Norman Collinsworth. However, before that, Lucius is going to make the most of the contract he spent a large amount of money on, as he books him against one of the top players in IBW – The Jock, who became number one contender for the IBW World Championship once again, where he’ll be competing in the main event at Absolute Delirium against whoever is holding the gold at the event. Both of these men need to look good as we begin our road to Absolute Delirium, so this will be a very tough match to call…which of these two men will prove to have the most talent?

Seth vs. Blackout
At Resurgence, Blackout finally defeated the man he had been stalking and trying to “reach out to” for months, after a 27 minute match, Blackout beat Richie Stevens after several shots from a steel pipe followed by The Artist’s Touch. Richie was hurt, emotionally and physically – after the match, Seth approached him, trying to keep him looking on the bright side, but Richie attacked Seth and even went as far as to put him through a table. Blackout may have finally twisted Richie’s mind and changed him, and that’s where Seth gets the opportunity to avenge his former friend…but what kind of stipulation will it be? Will Blackout have something up his sleeve? Find out in our main event.
