Marky DeVine here,
So, uh, yeah, we finally got everything squared away regarding a TV deal, contracts all signed, everything looks good to go, but we'd like to do a couple of minisodes before everything gets fully off the ground, just to give the fans something to look forward to and whet appetites and everything.
On Minisode 1, we'll have a couple of matches on the fight card:
MATCH 1: TRISTON RADCLIFFE VS JIM JACKSON
I think these two will be a perfect match as the first match on this card. Triston is cocky from the times I've spoken with him, stubborn in contract negotiations. For good reason: he's fighting for every single chance he can get. The Hands of Stone is probably salivating at the opportunity for this match due to the fact that this falls perfectly in line with his opponent: Jim Jackson. See, I've always had a liking for Taekwondo fighters, they're basically the exact opposite in Radcliffe by their tenants: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and an indomitable spirit. Jim shows all of those and then some with a strong heart. This should be a great match.
MATCH 2: HARLEY VINCENT VS JP FLICK
This match, hoo boy this match. Harley Vincent is primarily a pro wrestler, a damn good one. He always puts on good matches no matter where it is and feels great while doing it. There's one thing to the Young Punk Kid that sticks out: he's trained by fellow GSB competitor Lance Meszaros with his olympic background, so why not give him a firecracker of a match against AES newcomer JP Flick? Flick is a former football coach, I remember watching his team a few times and he helped revolutionize things like the moneybacker defense and option offense. Great mind. But he had a complete career change into MMA and, more shockingly, he's undefeated in the lower leagues with no martial arts experience. I thought I'd give him a shot against Vincent here.
